about sleeping

Today is the day to memorize a big step of my lovely baby”Nathaniel”. After he had vaccination last Saturday, he didn’t sleep very well couple days. Easy to get up around 4am or 5am, it is hard for me to stay a clear-headed so early. However, I still try to make him get to bed around 9pm.

Usually, he needs my appeasement to sleep. This morning I was busy with breast milk and clean the bottles. So, I put Nathan on bed in case he fall down I put him in the middle of the bed, then I set up some toys in from of him and make sure he can touch those things. While everything settled down, I walked out the door.

It was about 10~15 min while I was back to the room. He was playing with those toys quietly. Of course, he wanted my hug when he saw me. But I just told him that be good and give him a lovely kiss and leave to keep clean my stuff. After 5 min around, I went back again and saw he fall asleep by himself with one hand put on his toy!!!

I was almost crying because this is the first time he didn’t need my appeasement to sleep, doesn’t need me to hug him or take him walk around. Now I really feel he is growing up day by day. Every step is big step for him and I will keep enjoy it.

Life is amazing!! It became a stronger feeling after I have Nathaniel. Today, I saw him tried to learn how to speak. Using his little mouth pronounced “MA” and “BA”, it really dried me cry. That is why it is worth to give up my career from him. Nathaniel is growing so fast and I don’t want to miss any little step of him. The moment we share now is so precious. It is because one day he will grow up to be an adult and individual person, no longer need my help to take care of him. That is why I shall take more photo or video to memorize every detail of his life. Thanks for God to give me such a love baby to light up my life.

4 months.....la

Time pass so fast. Nathan is 4mth already.  I am so touched to see him grow up everyday. Everyday is a new step for him, new trial for him to move and act. His weight is double than he born. Although still can’t turn over by himself, but he is still practicing everyday. I love him so much and now understand how hard to be a mother. (To be a good mother is tough too.)

Chinese People said that when baby is 4mth, it is the time to help child to control his saliva. The ceremony is much like having a cookie party, only those cookies need to string together as a necklace for him. It is needed to us red thread to string those cookies. First, taking off one piece of cookies from necklace to touch his mouth and said some good luck words to baby, and then eat this cookie as luck for this baby.

For those cookies of ceremony, of course, there are traditional types of cookies. But hard to get it, so any type of cookies with a hole is fine for me.
